The ActivityPub Relays My Mastodon Instance Uses

My Mastodon instance (nangang.travnewmatic.com) is a single-user instance, so to keep it from being a quiet echo chamber I point it at a bunch of public ActivityPub relays. A relay redistributes public federation traffic, so each one I add is another window into the broader fediverse.

After some cleanup (I removed a pile of relays that had gone dead) and adding a few new ones, here is the current list of relays that are actually functional on my instance. I verified each one is up and responding as of today.

If you run your own instance and want to add any of these, the /inbox URL is what you paste into your admin panel (Mastodon: Admin → Relays → Add relay). Each entry below lists the relay and its inbox URL.

A note on these: I have no idea if any of them are reputable or not — I picked them because they were up, open, and (for the Japanese ones) listed in a community roundup. If you have any issues with one of these, or if a relay here turns out to be spammy or untrustworthy, let me know and I’ll remove it from my instance.
